Meadows Hosted Daughter's Wedding in Defiance of State and CDC Guidelines

Mark Meadows' Personal Life Under Scrutiny

Mark Meadows, the White House chief of staff under former President Donald Trump, hosted his daughter's wedding in Atlanta, Georgia, in defiance of state and CDC guidelines on May 8, 2020, according to a report from CNN.

The report said the wedding was held indoors at a private residence, with more than 50 guests in attendance. Neither masks nor social distancing was required.

At the time, Georgia was under a stay-at-home order, and social gatherings of more than ten people were prohibited. The CDC also recommended that weddings be postponed or held virtually.

The decision to hold the wedding in defiance of these guidelines has drawn criticism from some public health experts, who say it could have put guests at risk of contracting COVID-19.

Meadows' wife, Debra, was born and raised in Florida. The couple has been married for over 30 years and has three children.
